A solo devised and performed by Jessica Lerner made with creative witnessing from Amy Voris.
Lerner’s practice focuses on questions of materiality as natural choreography, the body and self and relationship to objects and relational environment. Influenced by her drawing practice and somatic movement Lerner’s pieces have been described as autobiographical improvisations where movement is in conversation with objects, images and location.
Glynn Vivian Art Gallery has commissioned a special series of performances as part of Carlos Bunga’s exhibition Terra Ferma. We invited four artists who work in very different ways through music, dance and performance to respond to Habitar el Color (2015-ongoing) and Reflejo – Disnivel (2021). The performance programme expands on the themes of Terra Ferma; we very much hope you enjoy these works.

Terra Ferma – Perfformiadd
Artist gweledol a symudiad yw Jessica Lerner. Daw o Lundain yn wreiddiol ond mae’n byw yn Sir Gâr, Cymru ers 2002, lle mae ganddi stiwdio symudiad. Mae ei harfer yn canolbwyntio ar gwestiynau ynghylch perthnasedd fel coreograffi naturiol, y corff, yr hunan a’r berthynas â gwrthrychau a’r amgylchedd perthynol.
Mae gwaith Lerner, sydd wedi’i dylanwadu gan ei harfer arlunio a symudiad corfforol, wedi’u disgrifio fel darnau byrfyfyr hunangofiannol lle mae symudiad yn sgwrsio â gwrthrychau, delweddau a lleoliad.
Mae Oriel Gelf Glynn Vivian wedi comisiynu cyfres arbennig o berfformiadau fel rhan o arddangosfa Carlos Bunga sef Terra Firma. Yn ystod yr arddangosfa, gwahoddom bedwar artist sy'n gweithio mewn ffyrdd gwahanol iawn drwy gerddoriaeth, dawns a pherfformiad i ymateb i Habitar el Color (2015-ongoing) a Reflejo – Disnivel (2021). Mae'r rhaglen berfformiadau'n ehangu ar themâu Terra Ferma; gobeithiwn yn fawr iawn y gallwch fwynhau'r gweithiau hyn.
